Recently, the upgrade and renovation project for pole mounted transformers in Southeast Asia has been successfully completed and officially commissioned. This initiative involved the installation and replacement of 12 pole mounted transformers supplied by Jiangsu Hualai Electric Technology Co., Ltd.，with a total capacity of 1,600 kVA. The upgrade serves three surrounding communities, benefiting over 2,000 households and 12 small and micro enterprises.
According to the head of the local power supply department, the original transformers, having served for an extended period, suffered from insufficient capacity and sub optimal operational efficiency, rendering them inadequate to meet the region’s growing electricity demands. To ensure stable power supply for both residential and industrial needs, the department implemented precise planning and scientific construction methods. Utilising non interruptive operation techniques during installation, they minimised disruption to neighbouring users' electricity supply.
All pole mounted transformers deployed in this project are manufactured by Jiangsu Hualai Electric Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese high tech enterprise specialised in power transformer R&D, production and sales. These cylindrical pole mounted transformers cover single phase and three phase types, strictly complying with IEC 60076 international standards and passing complete factory acceptance tests before delivery. Optimised for hot humid tropical operating conditions in Southeast Asia, the products feature low loss design, anti corrosion housing and outstanding outdoor environmental adaptability, which can effectively resist high temperature, humidity and salt fog erosion for long term reliable overhead pole operation.
Upon completion, the project elevates the area’s power supply reliability to 99.98% and significantly improves voltage quality. It effectively copes with peak summer electricity loads, delivering solid power support for local household consumption, small business production and regional public welfare development.
