Recently, China's first high-efficiency and energy-saving oil-immersed transformer independently developed by a domestic power equipment manufacturing enterprise successfully rolled off the production line at its Jiangsu production base. Tested by authoritative institutions, its loss index is reduced by more than 35% compared with traditional products, reaching the international advanced level. The successful research and development of this transformer will effectively promote the green transformation of China's power grid equipment and provide important technical support for achieving the "double carbon" goal.
According to the person in charge of the project research and development, the team has tackled key problems for two years, breaking through a number of core technologies such as iron core material optimization and winding structure innovation. It adopts new environmentally friendly insulating oil and low-loss silicon steel sheets, which not only improves the energy efficiency of the transformer, but also greatly reduces noise pollution and carbon emissions. With a rated capacity of 220 kV, the product can be widely used in new energy power station grid connection, urban distribution network upgrading and other fields.
Traditional oil-immersed transformers incur substantial losses during grid operation, with annual energy losses nationwide equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of millions of households. Industry experts indicate that mass production of new high-efficiency, energy-saving oil-immersed transformers will yield significant annual energy savings for the nation, delivering notable economic and social benefits. Currently, multiple grid enterprises have signed letters of intent with the manufacturing company, with the first batch of products scheduled for formal deployment next month.
